When you edit an event, you are turning bits on and off in the registers of the selected event. The type of registers available for editing an event is based on the processor running on your system.
From the Configure Sampling dialog box, select Events.
From the Event Groups pull-down list, select the event group which contains the events that you would like to use to sample your application and/or system.
Only the event groups available for the processor in your system will be displayed in the event group list.
The events within the selected event group are displayed in the Available Events field.
From the Available Events field, select an event.
Click the Edit Events
button.
The Edit Event dialog box opens.
This dialog box is different for the different processors:
Check a register to turn it on, uncheck a register to turn it off.
Click the OK button.
Use the Edit Events dialog box with caution. Note that the online help does not provide any help on modified events.
When you make changes to an event, the events .xml file, or configuration settings, the changes are applicable only to the currently open Activity. When you save and close the project with the Activity, the changes are also saved. If you reopen the Activity, the changes will persist. The changes in settings will not be applied to Activities created earlier.
