Configure Sampling Dialog Box

Use the Configure Sampling dialog box to modify sampling collection options and configure the sampling collector for event-based sampling.

You can access the Configure Sampling dialog box by:

• right-clicking a sampling Activity and selecting Modify Collectors...

The Configure Sampling dialog box has two tabs: General, and Events. Select the relevant options in the tabs to complete configuring the sampling collector.

General Tab

The General tab provides the following configuration options:

• choosing the sampling mechanism: time-based sampling or event-based sampling

• enabling Calibrate Sample After value

• specifying the Sampling interval

• specifying the Sampling buffer size

• specifying Delay sampling

• tracking thread creation

Events Tab

The Events tab provides the following configuration options:

• selecting events for event-based sampling

• adjusting the Sample After value for an event
