Editing Event Ratios

You can edit predefined event ratios.

To edit predefined event ratios:

1. Go to Windows>Preferences>VTune(TM) Performance Tools>Event Ratios Preferences to open the Event Ratios Preferences page.  

2. Select the category from the drop-down Categories list.

3. Select the event group from the Groups field.

4. Select the event you want to edit from the list of events that appear in the Ratios field.

5. Click Edit Ratio....
   The Edit Ratio <Event Ratio name> dialog box appears.

6. Edit the name of the event in the Name text box if you wish.

7. Edit the formula for the event ratio in the Formula field.

8. From the Add to Groups list, check the boxes against the event ratios groups that you would like to add the edited event ratio.

9. You can create a new group and add the event ratio to this group.

10. Edit the description in the Ratio Description field to better describe the edited event ratio.

11. Select your preferred event number format in the Format list, for displaying the event ratios.
    When selecting percentage format, the percentage may not appear where irrelevant.

Try and maintain the predefined event ratios without modification. Edit an existing event ratio or add a new event ratio only if you are familiar with the way event ratios work. The online help does not cover issues related to user-defined event ratios.
