The Tuning Browser provides access to many useful commands from its pop-up menu. Right-click the item in the Tuning Browser, and select the appropriate command from the pop-up menu.

Command

Description

New Activity

Opens the New Activity dialog box. By default, the new  Activity is placed below the currently selected project or folder. This command is available when you right-click a project or a folder.

Open

Opens the selected Activity result in a data view. This command is available when you right-click an Activity result.

New Folder

Adds a new folder to the selected project or Activity. Use this feature to better organize your Activities and/or Activity results. To add a new Activity to the folder, select the folder and use the right-click pop-up window option.

Pack and Go...

Opens the Pack and Go... dialog box, enabling you to pack all the different files related to a project or Activity in one step, and later unpack and view the packed files on any machine that has the VTune(TM) Performance Environment installed.

Unpack...

Opens the Unpack... dialog, enabling you to unpack a previously packed Activity and/or Activity results into the selected Project. This command is available when you right-click a project.

Delete

Deletes the selected item(s). Deleting items may open the Delete Selected Items dialog box.

Rename

Enables renaming the selected item in the Tuning Browser.

Note

When renaming an Activity result, the Activity result number is retained.

Properties

Enables configuring the properties of the selected item.

These additional commands are available when you right-click an Activity and display its pop-up menu:

Run Activity

Runs the selected Activity. This starts the Activity's data collectors and any application to launch.

Modify Activity...

Opens the Activity Configuration dialog box.

Modify Collectors...

Opens the data collector's configuration dialog box.
