Sharing Your Data

Once you configure a project and collect data, you can share the configuration information and analysis data across multiple projects and systems.

You can create the following output files and share them:

File Extension	Description
.vxp	Packed project file that contains all Activities and Activity results created in that project. The .vxp file format enables you to pack a complete project with all its related files and later open it in any system that has the VTune(TM) Performance Environment installed. To create a .vxp file, right-click a project in the Tuning Browser and choose Pack and Go.
.csv	Comma separated data file. The .csv file format enables you to export the data generated by the different data collectors in the VTune environment and later view and edit the data using a different application. To create a .csv file, from the Tuning menu, choose Export.
