Tuning Toolbar

Use these toolbar items to access tools and information in the VTune™ Performance Environment for Linux* OS . The same functionality is available via the Eclipse platform environment Tuning menu.

Item	Name	Purpose
	Add Tuning Activity	Opens the New dialog box, enabling you to create a new Activity within the current project.
	Modify Activity Name	Opens the Activity Configuration dialog box, enabling you to configure the selected Activity. Use the drop-down list to modify a different Activity in the project. Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + m To directly open the data collector dialog box, from the Tuning menu select the <Activity name><collector name> Collector...
	Run Activity Name	Runs the selected Activity. This starts the Activity's data collectors and any applications associated with the data collectors. Use the drop-down list to run a different Activity in the project.
	Stop Activity	Stops the currently running Activity. One or more Activity results may be generated.
	Pause/Resume Activity	Pauses the currently running Activity. The data collectors pause their data collection. Once paused, click the button again to resume running the Activity and data collection. Some data collectors may not support this feature.
	Cancel Activity	Cancels the currently running Activity. Activity Results are not generated. Use this button when you are not interested in the results of the run and just want to stop the Activity.
