Creating or Editing an Event Ratio Formula

An event ratio formula can contain these elements:

• constants

• operators

• events, in this format:

  [Category:EventName]

Category is the processor or object that collects the event data.

To create or edit the formula for an event ratio:

From the NewRatio dialog box or the Editing Ratio <event ratio> dialog box, in the Formula field, type in the formula for the event ratio.
You can do the following to create or edit an event ratio formula:

• Type in constants.

• Click the Operator buttons to insert the appropriate mathematical symbol into the formula.

• From the Add Event list, double-click an event to add it to  the formula.

An example of an event ratio formula: [Callgraph:Total Time]/[Callgraph:Calls]) / 1000

Use the New Ratio dialog box to create a new ratio for the event whose name was modified to specify the event collection specifics. See the Assigning Aliases to Events topic for more details.
